Yeh contra re birth is out in japan (in the same style as contra 3/4). On the wii for wii ware.
I know it has or will be released very soon in the usa along with countries where i live like Australia.

What version have u been playing the dumbed down ps3/360 version? Coz i own a wii, 360 and ps3 and i still rather play a FPS on a PC. Online is better too because i dont have to pay additional "live" fee's on top of my internet connection.

Ahh Nintendo was making a CD based system (with sony). It was called the Play Station. Then sony wanted rights for making nintendo franchises like mario...so they pulled the plug. They then went to philips (to make a CD expansion) and pulled the plug because the sega cd failed.

I love box art. Would hate to see it go. I still own every game ive ever bought. Most are in mint cond. Some of them are worth quite on a bit on ebay as well (chrono trigger for example)...in fact I still buy old games off ebay.
Catridge only ebay auctions sell for waaayyyy less than something that has instructions and the box intact. But digital download is good for people who could care less about a box i guess lol.
I cant believe how much some of you rely on "realistic" graphics. I hate it when games look like real life. I play games to escape real life. As long as it has a good art direction im happy.
For example, i like the way red steel 2 is shaping up to be style wise.

Dont worry "contra rebirth" should be our soon. Contra 4 was so damn good on the DS (now thats a hard game..the "core" posters should try it). Even tho it didnt come out in my region (australia)...lucky for me the DS is region free. The US ds games are so cheap compared to here.

Yeh mario 3's map was a "hub", but i prefered the mario world map/hub by far. Because it changed as you progressed more so than mario 3.
The forest of illusion part was tricky.. (well when i was 10 at least..not now tho lol but still awesome fun)
